Elective process needs to change

I received a request for an absentee ballot from one of the political parties. I did not deem it worth the 49 cent stamp to return it for a ballot.
When political candidates are allowed to air pathetic political TV ads saying anything to get elected, the whole putrid elective process needs to be trashed.
Instead of having fundraisers for candidates, let's have fundraisers for 'voting machines” that state the issues to be voted on. Voting machines that would allow 'we the people” the right to vote on the issues and not for political clowns and liars.
