Repeal the dove hunting vote

Back in 2011, State Sen. Joni Ernst cast a critical vote authorizing dove hunting. That deal was crafted by Speaker of the House Kraig Paulsen (R), Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal (D) and Gov. Terry Branstad (R), against the expressed wishes of the overwhelming majority of Iowans. To this day, nobody has spilled the beans on who got what in that deal. If she knows, perhaps Ernst would care to enlighten us.
This is not the kind of politics we deserve from our elected officials whether in Des Moines or Washington.
Come January the Legislature should revisit this issue and start representing the people of Iowa by repealing the dove hunt.
