Get the freeloaders out of state government
N/A

Regarding the April 26 article 'Aide was paid, but for what?”:
I'm so tired of reading where someone in state government is ripping off the taxpayers again. This has to stop. Isn't anyone in charge there?
Evidently Gov. Terry Branstad isn't because all he ever says is 'I wasn't aware of that.” Get a grip, governor. The foxes in the henhouse are stealing the taxpayers blind. How can the Secretary of State continue to pay someone when their job has been eliminated?
And now this former wrestling coach is president of First American Bank in Ames and doesn't seem to want to answer any questions about this issue.
It's time to get the freeloaders out of state government. After all the confidentiality agreements paid out, the legislators who don't bother to show up but still collect their pay and the employees who are paid when their jobs are eliminated, it's time to put a stop to it.
