Iowans need a place to hunt pheasants, quail

It is a misguided person who thinks killing mourning doves is the answer to the declining sales of hunting licenses and habitat stamps.
But the real cause is the decline of pheasants and quail, because of the lack of habitat.
The DNR has failed to spend any of the habitat stamp money to buy set aside grounds and make food plots for winter food for pheasants and quail. The DNR blames Iowa's winter weather but South Dakota had hard winter weather as we did and they have plenty of pheasants. People used to come to Iowa for pheasants now we have to go elsewhere. Iowan's are being ripped off and they know it. There isn't any place to hunt so why buy a license?
