Kirkwood drivers slowing everyone down
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Feb. 4, 2012 11:51 pm
School starts at 8 a.m. I live 10 miles away from school. I should make it to school easily if I leave at 7:40 a.m., right? Whenever my parents drive me to school in the morning, I always end up being late because of one thing: Kirkwood Community College semis.
The drivers-in-training drive so slow, and cars trying to get to school are stuck behind them. When they do this, parents trying to get their kids to school end up dropping them off late, which in turn makes them late, along with others trying to get to work.
Why would they drive semis like a turtle around the campus of a school during the same time the school is starting? The program should move its driving time.
