Branstad, Grassley will lead Iowa backward

I have been a longtime subscriber to The Gazette, but after your editorial board's endorsement of Terry Branstad and Charles Grassley, I no longer want any part of your paper. The Republican Party in its greed has thrown a lot of money into their campaigns.

We no longer need Branstad and his slogan, “I did it before and I can do it again,” because the Democrats have had to deal with the policies of the Republican Party.

The policies of George Bush and Dick Cheney have created this economy. Do Branstad and Grassley want anything different? Their pockets are so full of donations now that they can buy votes. Our soup lines continue to get longer, and our educational system will surely suffer if changes are not made.
