The Donut Experiment opens in The Fountains
The Donut Experiment, a shop whose website advertises everything from maple to Sriracha doughnuts, opened Wednesday at 5300 Fountains Drive NE, # 104.
Cedar Rapids resident Jen Bentley opened the franchise of the Florida-based chain. The shop features custom doughnut toppings. Customers start with a cake doughnut and then choose icings and toppings to order. The store also sells coffee, espresso drinks and hot chocolate. The hours are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. People can reach the shop at (319) 540-9262.
