Telemedicine not the safest route

To the editor:
The Iowa Supreme Court has ruled that they knew better than the Iowa Medical Board (IMB) when it comes to telemedicine (webcam) abortions. The previous IMB decision made in 2013 required a physician to be physically present to examine and administer drugs that would abort a baby.
Telemedicine abortions are done after an ultrasound is given, they allow the physician using a webcam to decide if there would be any complications for the mother instead of doing an actual examination.
Let's face it, we know abortion no matter what type it is, is not safe for the unborn person, but this ruling could endanger the life of the mother.
Please keep these justices in prayer for them to rule the correct way in the future.
