Research is imperative before we cast any vote

One of the Republican candidates for president said you can judge what to expect from a person by what that person has done rather than what that person says they will do. Most politicians promise to do things they cannot do without someone else's help, and we need to keep that in mind when choosing for whom to vote.
Choosing a candidate is a matter of choosing a person of character and of a political philosophy like your own. To do this intelligently, one must collect a great deal of information. Our first impression might be a good one, but we need to reinforce our thinking. So much is at stake.
All elected people have a great deal of power over our lives. Do we want that kind of person ruling over us? Do we want that person making decisions that will force us to do things we don't want to do?
Now is the time to collect information and prepare to vote.
