JAMES L. KRIZ

James L. Kriz, 64, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, left this earthly world for his eternal resting place on Monday, June 28, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at Linwood Cemetery, 520 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
James was born April 24, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Phyllis (Taschner) and Lumir Kriz Jr. He was raised on a farm when he was younger. James worked at Waconia Sorghum, Iowa Steel, Rounds and Porter Lumber Co., and Vetter Parks Lumber before retiring. He always enjoyed a good barbeque rib, trying out new barbeque rubs and recipes and grilling.
Survivors include sister, Lynnae Kriz of Cedar Rapids; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, many nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Kriz.
