The last time Iowa finished alone in last place in Big Ten men's basketball was ____?

The answer is at the bottom of this entry, before the Yoko Ono song that will apply to the Hawkeyes one day, but not now.
Iowa needs Indiana to lose its final four Big Ten games. Which is certainly possible, perhaps probable.
If the Hoosiers don't win one of these four: vs. Purdue, at Ohio State, vs. Wisconsin, at Illinois ... they'll be 3-15 in the Big Ten and can do no better than tie Iowa for 10th place.
If Indiana upsets one of those four teams, Iowa will have to bump off one of its last three opponents: at Illinois, at Michigan State, vs. Purdue. The road games look highly unlikely. Do the Hawkeyes then upset Purdue (22-5) in their home-finale? It's possible, though they didn't beat Ohio State, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan or Northwestern at home.
That Purdue game will be Saturday, March 5 at 3 p.m. on ESPN. That was just announced today.
The last time Iowa tied for last place in the Big Ten was 1994, when it and Northwestern were 5-13. The last time the Hawkeyes were alone in last at season's end?
1939.
And now, Yoko:
