Will GOP address issues from their campaigns?
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I hear how President Obama raised taxes, how he doesn't believe in American exceptionalism and that, of course, that backs up the birthers. Who perpetuated these lies? Many of those on the extreme right such as Rush Limbaugh, who said you can believe the opposite of everything the president says because he's a liberal.
So when he said he gave us all a tax break, which he did for 95 percent of working households, that didn't happen?
Then Obama makes a speech in Indonesia on how proud he is of his country, the extraordinary role we've played in the world and how our core values are wrapped in the Constitution. He's probably just talking through that grin of his?
Where are the true Republicans who really have America's interest as their main focus? Are they going to stand up and stop these bombastic lies?
Are newly elected Republicans going to tackle entitlements, defense spending and Medicare or just keep up this facade of alleged concern about the debt without any serious plans to do anything about it?
