Students need healthy lunch choices

The Nov. 30 letter “Congress' school lunch decision disappointing” stated how Congress was not going to aid schools in making school lunches healthier. One main point was school lunches have not been updated for 15 years. Lunches have decreased in nutrition, which in turn influences kids to eat less healthy. Although this may be their choice, some would prefer something that tastes good and can benefit them.
My suggestion is not to replace all school lunches with vegetables, but to give kids a choice on whether they eat healthy or not. Obesity won't stop just by replacing school lunches, but Congress should try to influence kids to make the right choice.
