Letter: This is no time for bystanders

Despite the Statute of Liberty and the Christian Gospel, our president has closed our borders to starving children and war refugees. He has bombed Syria and used a bomb called 'mother” in Afghanistan, in our name, to make us 'secure.”
The choice seems clear: be in loving resistance or be in moral complicity. Silence as an option is long gone.
