Washington student defends Plagman
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jan. 12, 2011 4:16 pm
I am a senior at Washington High School as well as a proud and loyal supporter of Principal Ralph Plagman, a man so caring and in tune with his student body that I think of him as one of the most influential leaders in our community.
I understand this (Dick Fredericks' Jan. 9 guest column) is an opinion. However, the accusations made I find extremely hard to believe. At Washington, we are a strong community of highly intellectual students and well-rounded members of this society. We are given countless opportunities to improve as people and students.
There will always be students who do not live up to their full potential, and at Washington, the opportunity to reach that potential is thrust upon us each and every day - not taking advantage of that is at no fault of Dr. Plagman.
Mr. Fredericks knows so little about our school, yet feeds readers with claims that the man whom we admire most in our young adult lives is a liar.
