Where are statistics showing safer streets?

I want to thank The Gazette for all of the updated statistics on the traffic cameras provided the week of Aug. 15. This is proving to be the “cash cow” the city keeps saying it's not. The only statistic I did not see published (as of Aug. 19) is how they have made the streets safer, a point the city keeps stressing is the only reason for their existence.
I think in order to make the streets safer, there must be a change in one's driving habits. With the list of multiple offenders, that certainly appears to not be happening, so one must ask: “Are the streets any safer and when will statistics be published to prove this”?
Data can be skewed any way one wants to prove a point. In the end, it simply boils down to it's all about making easy money.
