Alternative theory: Kick the can

There is a lot of controversy over intelligent design and the theory of evolution. I believe that a third concept should be taught: “kick the can.” Most every kid has kicked a can down a road, path or across the yard. The lesson is that nothing moves or is produced unless it receives a command. Someone has to kick the can.
As an example, in 1908, Henry Ford had an idea to mass produce automobiles. He designed and built a car called the Model T and it was a huge success. But if he hadn't kick the can, would his vision ever been realized?
To my friends who believe in evolution, consider this. What many astronomers, theorists and astrophysicists seem to agree on is that in the beginning everything was concentrated in a tiny space no larger than an atom. Then something caused it to rapidly expand into what we see today. Did someone kick the can - issue a command?
What we see of the universe today is much different from when it first started out. Just like the Model T is a far cry from what autos are like today. As roads and people's needs changed, Ford had to meet these needs to survive. Someone had to issue the command to make this happen.
And wouldn't that tiny something still be a tiny something if someone hadn't given the command? It will not “just happen.”
Let there be light.
