Tim Pawlenty not for the taxpayers
The Gazette Opinion Staff
May. 24, 2011 5:15 pm
Tim Pawlenty is campaigning in Iowa for president. When governor of Minnesota, Pawlenty was for the taxpayers of Minnesota paying about $400 million for a ballpark for the Minnesota Twins. Pawlenty felt the billionaire owner of the Twins shouldn't have to use his own money for most of the cost for that ballpark.
Pawlenty was against a referendum to see if Minnesotans wanted to pay for most of that ballpark because Pawlenty was afraid Minnesotans would vote the ballpark down if they had to pay for it. So when Pawlenty says he is for the taxpayers, he is full of crap.
