CEDAR RAPIDS -- The Cedar Rapids Airport Commission on Monday is expected to approve an application for a $350,000 Rebuild Iowa Infrastructure Fund grant in connection with a $3.4 million remodeling of the passenger terminal lobby at The Eastern Iowa Airport.
The project involves renovating the ticketing, waiting, and baggage claim areas of the 25-year-old terminal to improve passenger circulation and operation. The federal government is expected to fund $2.74 million or 90 percent of the cost of the project and the airport will pay the remaining $343,000.
