Sports fans should support Kernels, too

Cedar Rapids sports fans should be ashamed of their lack of support for the Kernels. I don't attend a lot of games, but did get to the second round playoff game with Kane County on Sept. 6. Our group was amazed that only 900 attended. We were expecting 3,00 to 4,000.
I am a Hawkeye fan and know that football consumes the state once it starts but let's give baseball some attention before the season has ended.
From the looks of The Gazette coverage, major league baseball stories have ceased.
