Two killed in northeast Iowa house fire
IONIA, Iowa - Two people are dead following a house fire in rural Chickasaw County.
According to the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office, firefighters were called to 1720 240th St. in Ionia shortly before 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, firefighters found two people dead inside the home. Authorities do not suspect foul play.
The sheriff's office is not releasing the names of the deceased at this time, though the sheriff's office says it is the residence of Maurice and Elaine Deutsch.
