Indiana moves Iowa game to avoid Colts conflict
Jan. 20, 2010 12:39 pm
Iowa and Indiana's men's basketball game, originally scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, was moved one hour later to 5 p.m. to accommodate Hoosier fans wanting to watch the AFC Championship pitting the Indianapolis Colts hosting the New York Jets. That game starts at 2 p.m.
The Big Ten Network will air the game.
"My primary goal in all this is to get as many people in Assembly Hall as possible," said Indiana Athletics Director Fred Glass. "What this does for us, is the people in and around Assembly Hall, primarily students and faculty and staff, can watch pretty much the entire Colts game, and still get to our game. So hopefully that's significant. We appreciate the cooperation of the Big Ten Conference, the Big Ten Network and the University of Iowa."
