Northwest Cedar Rapids bank robbed with dozens of people inside
Police say they are investigating a bank robbery Thursday night.
Police say a man robbed a Collins Community Credit Union branch, inside the Hy-Vee off of Johnson Avenue in Cedar Rapids, around 5:40 p.m. Thursday.
Dozens of people were in the building at the time of the robbery. Police say the man told the bank employees that he had a weapon.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30's with dark facial hair.
