Grassley loyal to Wall Street, not Main Street
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Why does Chuck Grassley mention accountability and
transparency in his Aug. 8 guest column? He fails to mention his extensive involvement in creating the mess we currently face. His loyalty is to Wall Street and not Main Street
Mr. Grassley has obstructed attempts to stimulate a
recovery. He just voted against The Education Jobs and Medicaid Assistance Act, which is completely paid for and reduces the deficit by $1.4 billion over 10 years. It is paid for in part by closing a loophole that encourages corporations to ship American jobs overseas.
Grassley supports the Bush tax cuts for the rich. In his mind, these tax cuts raise revenue. Not many small business owners qualify for the Bush tax cuts.
Twisting or omitting relevant facts to create the conclusions he wants the voters to believe is unacceptable.
Iowa needs Roxanne Conlin to be Iowa's U.S. senator.
