Letter: School district should support staff

How can we be expected to support or trust a school system that does not support its staff?
They ask for our support in this 'difficult time.” They are the ones who created this mess. Even if policies were not followed, it did not matter because the school district was in violation of its own policies and state law because their investigators were years overdue in their certification. The blame sits solely with the school board.
We need an investigation by the state to get to the truth. I am sure that if state law allowed, the entire board would be removed by recall and Brad Buck replaced as well, after a new board was elected. The board and Buck could resign and restore some modicum of respect, which does not exist.
Ralph Plagman is a gift from God. The school district has spat in God's face by throwing away such a gift that will never be offered again. When I was in school I had, and still have, a rule that says those who can, stay in the classroom and teach. Those who cannot become administrators and researchers. When you leave the classroom, you are no longer an educator. Plagman is the only exception I have met. My son and some of his friends are contemplating boycotting the first day of school, which I support. This way the students can have their voice heard.
