Opinions don’t reflect GOP support
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Mar. 29, 2013 3:54 pm
You gotta love it. The Gazette Editorial Board members have never met a Republican political candidate they could not support at election time but when it comes time to govern, a majority of Gazette opinions are in opposition to Republican proposals.
On March 22, it was about Republican efforts to make gun permits secret and this follows opinions bemoaning inadequate education funding and a host of other extreme ideological efforts by Republicans to thwart the desires of the majority of Iowans.
The Gazette should re-examine its political persuasion and realize that the Republican Party of today is no longer the political party of Eisenhower.
