Big money, big business rule in Iowa Legislature

Supporters of a law that would ban anyone from video recording cruelty in any animal facility say it would encourage people to report such abuses. Are we supposed to be so stupid and gullible as to believe that? If you saw a traffic violation or crime of any kind, you'd more likely report it and get a conviction if you had video/proof. Without the proof/video, you'd probably lose the case and get sued by the violator. The proof is what they don't want you to have!
Their overzealous drive to ban such video and proof only makes a smart person know they do have something to hide behind closed doors. At federal level, there is some kind of a whistle-blower protection law, but the above zealots here in Iowa want to kill the whistle-blower/messenger with prison time. The lawmakers that approve such a dastardly law don't care about humane treatment and fairness, but only care about protecting the election campaign money that comes from Big Money/Big Business.
Big Money/Big Business and highly paid lobbyists rule in the Iowa Legislature.
