'National Night Out' activities to take place on Tuesday evening

Firefighters and Police officers will gather in neighborhoods throughout Coralville and Iowa City to socialize community members and celebrate the 28th annual “National Night Out” from 6-10 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
A nation-wide event, “National Night Out” is a night set aside for individuals in thousands of communities gather to meet, have fun and show criminals that there is alliance among neighbors, police departments and other community agencies.
Locations for "National Night Out" activities in Coralville and Iowa City are as follows:
Coralville -- Free food provided by the neighborhoods and activities will be available at each location.
- Greenway Development, at the intersection of Kelsey Lane & Kelsey Court, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
- Eighth Avenue Neighborhood, 600 block of Eighth Avenue, 5:45-8:30 p.m.
- Welsh Village, 725 Breconshire Lane, 6:00-10:00 p.m.
- Sixth Avenue Neighborhood, 700 block of Sixth Avenue, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
- Holiday Road Neighborhood, 403 Holiday Road, 6:30–8:30pm
Iowa City -- Sponsored by Southgate Development, Target, Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers, Panera Bread and Aero Rental.
- Broadway & Crosspark, Iowa City Fire Department pump truck providing water, bike drawing presented by the Iowa City Bike Library, music by Dave Zollo, handouts, games and free food, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
- Pheasant Ridge, Jumpy Castle provided by Aero Rental, group painting project to be displayed in the Police Substation, handouts, games and free food, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Gleason Drive Block Party, (Outside #11 and #15 street side) 6:30-8:30 p.m.
- Brookside Dr. Block Party, (2840 Brookside) 7:00-10:00 p.m.
