Race was evident throughout trial

Race matters in “post racial”America. Much is made of advancements in race relations to the detriment of overwhelming evidence that race is still part and parcel of virtually everything in America. Whenever/wherever race can become part of the equation, to the benefit of any non-black race but especially whites, its injection makes differences which range from minor to profound.
The latest evidence revolves around the shooting death of an unarmed 17-year-old black teenager by an adult. The right always seems to accuse liberals of injecting race when it should be evident to all, who are not blinded by ideology, that race invariably had already ingrained itself into the mix, from the start, all without anyone's input.
Trayvon Martin was racially profiled by George Zimmerman - “WWB” - walking while black. After the shooting, police behavior and the “justice” system's inaction permanently encased race where it did not belong. Police immediately believed Zimmerman and a toxicology exam was only given to the victim and not the shooter. Race was evident throughout the trial but bottom line: Apparently, black teens cannot use self-defense. It took extreme public pressure for Zimmerman to even be arrested let alone tried. After verdict, one defense attorney had the gall to claim that had Zimmerman been black, there would not have been an arrest.
Only in heaven is a post-racial America possible.
