Daniel Lundby will work for community, constituents
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Oh the irony. The day The Gazette Smell Test says Daniel Lundby misrepresented about Nick Wagner's voting record, they print Mike Deupree's column, titled “True: Fact-checking process is subjective.” Deupree's Oct. 7 article was very incisive and after all, this is politics.
Having served with Wagner on the Marion City Council, I have closely followed his career. While on the council, he voted no on many important issues because he would not compromise. One year our manager was able to keep next year's tax increase to .01 percent. Instead of kudos to the staff, Wagner voted no, stating that if you can get it down to .01 percent, you can get it to zero.
Wagner voted to eliminate funding for Main Street Iowa and other community cultural grants at a time when Marion has applied for the Main Street Grant. I want a representative who will work to bring some tax dollars back to our community and communicate with his constituents.
I am endorsing Lundby for House District 68.
