Little League event coverage disappointing

My wife and I watched the World Series of Little League Baseball all week (last month).
Iowa was represented by a team from Urbandale, which did fairly well. Yet I saw very little mention of these games in our Gazette. KCRG-TV9 carried some of the games even and I thought KCRG-TV9 was a part of The Gazette. I am very disappointed.
These young men played their hearts out and I saw some of the best sportsmanship between the teams that you don't see in pro ball.
