Rep. Rod Blum fights for seniors

Our government might be considering cutting the funding provided to Medicare Advantage, which could be devastating to my family. During a recent health crisis, our Coventry Advantage plan covered almost everything. It's been great for the day-to-day expenses. We can go to the eye doctor and YMCA thanks to our Advantage coverage. I'm glad we have these benefits. My husband has diabetes and his medications are covered. I don't want to have to pay more for our insurance, not to mention his medicines. Gym memberships and trips to the eye doctor might be on the chopping block.
These cuts could cause millions of seniors to lose their insurance. However, Iowa's seniors are fortunate because Rep. Rod Blum has been a voice of reason in Washington. He has spoken out and has said these cuts are not right. This program has a high satisfaction rate and we're part of that happy group. There is no reason to cut funding from Medicare Advantage, which will make things worse, not better.
It is clear that Rep. Blum values his senior constituents. Seniors need him to keep pushing Congress to protect this program. If incumbents are unwilling to support seniors, I guarantee that will be reflected in the polls. There are over 16 million seniors who are on Medicare Advantage and we want our insurance to stay high quality and affordable. This will only happen if Congress bands together to fight for seniors.
