Apologize in advance for the wrinkled shirt. Wife yelled at me when she saw it tonight. You should know, though, I am wrinkled in real life.
The highlights from the Kirk Ferentz radio show:
Running back Adam Robinson (concussion) has practiced and will be back for Northwestern on Saturday.
Defensive coordinator Norm Parker (foot amputation) has been in the office since Sunday and plans to make the trip to Northwestern.
Show host Gary Dolphin said LB Jeff Tarpinian is gaining ground. I'm not sure about that one.
Wednesday night's guests included legendary play-by-play voice Jim Zabel and legendary Wisconsin coach and athletics director Barry Alvarez, who's being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Alvarez and Ferentz served as assistants under Hayden Fry at Iowa. Legendary for Alvarez? In my book, capital yes. The man won three Rose Bowls.
UI men's basketball coach Fran McCaffery opened the show. Are you going to give Iowa hoops a chance? When I say that are you going to haul yourself down to Carver on a wintry night and actually spend hard cash on the Iowa basketball team again? Just curious.
Ironed shirt next week, promise. I have one from L.L Bean that is permanent press. I need more of those.
By the way, the background this week is purple because the other background went kerploey. Thus, we had our first-ever second take.
