Report: Iowa men’s basketball returning to Sioux Falls next season
Hawkeyes to play Utah State on Dec. 18

Jun. 21, 2021 2:41 pm, Updated: Jun. 21, 2021 4:23 pm
It appears that for the second-straight year and third in the last five, the Iowa men’s basketball team will play a nonconference game at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
College basketball writer Jon Rothstein reported Monday that the Hawkeyes will play Utah State at the Pentagon on Dec. 18, on the same weekend Iowa lost to Gonzaga there in 2020 in a battle of then-top three teams.
Iowa defeated Colorado in the Pentagon in December 2017.
Utah State, a Mountain West Conference team, was 20-9 last season. Iowa was 22-9.
