Crock, Alan
Alan Crock, 60, of Lowden, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, by the Rev. Paul Frederiksen. Burial: Lowden Cemetery, with graveside military rites. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki; sons, Joseph of Lowden and Matthew (Crystal) of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Ayden, Jayce and Paige Crock; his mother, Alreta Crock of Olin; two brothers, Doug and Bill; and two sisters, Ellen (Wayne) Florang and Alice Crock.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Born Jan. 7, 1949, in Iowa City, the son of Herbert and Alreta (Cruse) Crock, he married Vicki Sanger in 1973 in Mechanicsville. Al had served in the Navy and was employed as an electrician and plumber.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.
