New hires
Jill Gustin, Ashley Haas and Tori Sovers joined Skogman Realty as Realtors.
GreenState Credit Union hired Mark Nolte, previously project director of Project Better Together in Iowa City, as vice president of partnership development.
Lindsey Gauntiz is now with Honkamp Krueger as a staff accountant and Tori Davison is an administrative assistant. Both will be in the Hiawatha office.
GreatAmerica Financial Service hired Taylor Pink as sales and operations support specialist; Lukas Lengwin, property tax specialist; Chris De Groot, financial analyst; Michelle Nguyen, credit analyst; Jordan Brandt, tax accountant; Jen Johnson, cash applications specialist; and Amy Lojewski, legal analyst.
Promotions
The Cedar Rapids Fire Department promoted Matt Woerner from captain to battalion chief and Greg Hankins from firefighter to fire captain.
Hills Bank and Trust Co. promoted Shelley Asher to senior vice president, director of operations. She will be located at the Hills office.
Awards
UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Hospital earned the Joint Commission’s Certificate of Distinction in the management of Joint Replacement-Hip and Knee. The commission is a not-for-profit that evaluates, accredits and certifies more than 20,500 U.S. health care organizations.
Gregory Bosch of Bosch Financial Inc. Equitable Advisors was inducted into the 2021 Hall of Fame Class for Equitable Advisors.
New ownership
Dr. Peter Ruggiero is the new owner of Cedar Dental, 4201 First Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, following the retirement of Dr. Thomas A. Anderson. Ruggiero previously was with Dental Health Partners of Cedar Rapids.
