See conservatives for what they really want
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Battle lines have been drawn - 1 percent versus 99 percent.
I have viewed both political parties with disdain but recognize that Democrats will, on occasion, fight for everyday people.
This is an open letter to white working class people who have abandoned President Barack Obama.
I will employ a “Gingrichism” (verbalizing problematic comments) here and write: Anyone who votes for any conservative should have their voting rights taken away.
Seriously, folks - quit letting conservative-created wedge issues blind you to what is in front of us.
Conservative's economic plans:
Additional tax cuts for the super rich.
Additional tax cuts for corporations.
Lessening regulations so God knows what you will find in your food/water, etc.
Increasing your (payroll) taxes.
Reducing your children's nutrition - tomato paste on pizza is now their vegetable.
Breaking up unions.
Reducing infrastructure spending.
Reducing all services that attempt to level playing fields.
Corporations are now considered “people.”
Money is now considered “speech.”
The list goes on. Just when will you fight back? No, Obama is not a socialist and he will not take away your guns. Do not allow for the big government conservatives/corporations/elites want: dictates to women what they can do with their bodies, unlimited police powers to invade your privacy, detain without evidence.
Use the ballot box to let conservatives know you do care about the future of not only your children, but the future of democracy and America.
