Let mourning doves live

Are there so many mourning doves that state Sen. Dick Dearden feels they are a threat, or does he just want the fun of shooting them along with the rabbits and squirrels?
I think there are more important things the Senate can do; maybe they could figure out how to stop adults and children from shooting one another. I'm quite sure that someone with courage and intelligence can figure out a solution.
Let the mourning doves live; they bother no one and are a delight to listen to.
