Penalties will be assessed

From the sidelines, another football coach, Bobby Petrino, bites the dust. Jerry Sandusky's trial is scheduled to begin soon. That horrible event involved the cover-up of several coaches.
As Petrino's motorcycle skidded off the highway, so went his current life. With broken ribs, cracked neck vertebrae, scrapes and bruises and other evidence, a cover-up failed. The other passenger - his mistress - added to the disaster. His game plan - the cover up - failed. How sad his wife and children have to suffer the heartache and embarrassment.
Time out. From the actions of Petrino and his mistress, I'd say, “Their lives are on the skids.” From the sidelines I'd say, “Penalties will be assessed.”
