Progressive agenda not working

'If you want to thank me, there's only one way I want you to do that. Make sure that this Senate seat stays in good fighting, progressive hands with Congressman Bruce Braley being the next senator from the state of Iowa.” - Sen. Tom Harkin ('Harkin asks his 10,000 guests for 1 favor,” Sept. 15).
And how has that progressive agenda been working out for us the last 6 years, Senator? A sluggish economy, high unemployment, increased dependency, decreased personal income and an astronomical national debt are the result.
Perhaps it's time we begin to elect people who understand basic economics and exercise fiscal responsibility.
