Iowa State's Robinson shares Big 12 player of week honor

Iowa State running back Alexander Robinson was named co-Big 12 offensive player of the week Monday for his performance in ISU's 31-10 win over Army Saturday.
Robinson, a junior, recorded 178 yards of total offense and scored three touchdowns in the win. He rushed for 129 yards on 22 carries to improve his season total to 455 yards.
He is the first Cyclone to record three consecutive 100-yard games since Ennis Haywood in 2000. Robinson scored on a two-yard rush, a 68-yard run and a 32-yard reception.
Missouri wide receiver Danario Alexander shared the offensive honor with Robinson. Safety Earl Thomas of Texas was named defensive player of the week, and wide receiver/kick returner Brandon Banks of Kansas State was named special teams player of the week.
