Hlastradamus' college football prophecies for Week 2
Mike Hlas Sep. 10, 2009 11:15 am
It's often said a prophet makes the most improvement from Week 1 to Week 2 in a college football season.
Let's hope so for Hlastradamus' sake. The prophet was a gnarly 1-4 in Week 1. Luckily for you, the crystal in his crystal ball got polished this week.
Penn State -28.5 vs. Syracuse. The 'Cuse pushed Minnesota to overtime last week at home. It was Minnesota. It wasn't at Penn State.
Central Michigan +14.5 at Michigan State. CMU's offense was lousy at Arizona. Its quarterback, Dan LeFevour, is too good to hold down two straight weeks, and this will be a fire-up game for the Chippewas.
Iowa State +6.5 vs. Iowa. The Cyclones have covered the spread in this game in each of the last five years.
Oregon -11.5 vs. Purdue. With all that Boise State nonsense behind it, the Ducks can pick on a Purdue team with a leaky defense.
Minnesota -3 vs. Air Force. Debuting a new stadium, the Gophers have to perform well today. Don't they?
