Michigan already looking ahead to its game at Iowa

OK, that headline is slightly misleading.
Michigan is 2-0 and likely to be 4-0 after home games against Eastern Michigan and Indiana. Then the Wolverines visit Michigan State.
That's the one Michigan probably is looking toward.
But the week after that, the Wolverines come to Iowa. And according to UMGoBlog.com, the storied fan site of UM sports, the Wolverines will wear all-white uniforms for their Oct. 10, nationally televised game in Kinnick Stadium.

I, for one, think it's a mistake. Wearing all white at night is great for safety purposes, but not when you want to elude 11 opposing players. Which, you would assume Michigan's offense would want to do.
It doesn't take a whiteout out of play, because Iowa fans don't do whiteouts. They've done blackouts, and goldouts. They may want to go with the black for this game. It doesn't come across as well on television as the gold, but it will make Michigan's white stand out all the more, giving the Wolverines the distinct feeling of being 11 vs. 70,585 plus 11.
Also, it's a mistake because it's an attempt to get noticed for an Iowa home game. The Hawkeye fans, who already will have their pumps primed for prime-time if you get my drift, now have another excuse to yell unkind things at the visitors.
The worst folly about this, of course, is you aren't supposed to wear white after Labor Day, as this article explains.
