Assault with baseball bat reported on Meskwaki Settlement
TAMA - Authorities are investigating an assault involving a baseball bat on the Meskwaki Settlement late Wednesday.
Details are still surfacing, but we have confirmed that it happened in the 200 block of Deerfield Crossing. According to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, two people were assaulted and one was taken to a Marshalltown hospital. A dispatcher at the Tama County Sheriff's Office would not confirm this.
Meskwaki Police are handling the investigation, according to the Sheriff's Office. Names of those involved have not been released.
