Where to recycle your electronics

Assuming the weather will be better by Saturday (let's hope) ECO Iowa City is offering this option for recycling electronics for Johnson County residents:
What: Recycle your old electronics for only $1 each at this Electronic Recycling Collection event
Where: 1001 S. Clinton Street, Iowa City, (Fire Department Training Center)
When: 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. January 23, 2010
Sponsors: ECO Iowa City & Midwest Electronics Recovery
Accepted: Printers, televisions, VCRs, DVD players, cellular telephones, stereos, iPods, computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, cables, networking hardware.
Not accepted: Appliances, sharps/needles, hazardous waste.
Items will be taken to Midwest Electronic Recovery in Walford, Iowa, for recycling, where all hard drives will be wiped immediately for privacy. MER is an Iowa Department of Natural Resources certified electronic waste demanufacturer.
