We need health care now, before costs rise more

As I read your March 9 headline and article on the front page, I wondered if people realized that without President Obama's health care proposal, the cost of health insurance policies will continue to rise higher and higher, benefiting only those wealthy enough to have such policies. The nation's total cost will zoom, yet will not cover everybody.
Sen. Chuck Grassley, in his recent column, said that we need to do something to raise the fees of general practitioners to somewhere near the lower specialties to encourage young doctors to choose to be GPs. Politics aside, we need health care for both rich and poor.
