Cancer center a positive addition to C.R.

The new Mercy Medical Center's Hall-Perrine Cancer Center is a wonderful addition to the City of Cedar Rapids and the surrounding communities.
It is a state-of-the-art facility and a beautiful and all-encompassing building for the health and comfort of the patients.
It was built entirely from private donations, didn't cause any major street to close, didn't cause historic houses to be torn down for parking lots, and the City of Cedar Rapids didn't have to help fund a $13.6 million parking ramp for patient parking.
It is a perfect example of private enterprise doing a job without the interference of city, state or federal government. Congratulations.
