Culver re-election campaign begins today

"Choosing a Better Iowa" -- that's the message Governor Chet Culver will start spreading today.

Iowa's governor makes his re-election campaign official with a kickoff event this morning in Des Moines.

The Democrat is seeking a second term. He starts today by launching a 41-county, five-day campaign tour across the state.

The tour includes a rally with Vice President Joe Biden. It will take place tomorrow afternoon in Cedar Rapids' Greene Square Park.
