How 'bout that Big Ten last night?
When was the last time you saw a Hail Mary work? I know, I know. Early 2005. Orlando. The game is going to end on this play. Tate. Holloway. LSU mouths agape. I can't believe what I just saw.
I love the buttons Marvin's parents are wearing. They seem like a trite trinquet, but think about how much goes into arriving to the point where you, as a parent, can pin that on your chest. Think about that. Not so trite, is it?
I have some extra videos for you, PDFs and the numbers thing I've been doing.
The most random video ever.

Iowa's season stats
Closing the deal (Red zone TDs/possessions)
Iowa 3-4
Indiana 3-5
Iowa's defense had two solid stands that sent IU out of the red zone with a FG and missed FG. That is the best thing you can say about Iowa's defense vs. IU. True frosh QB making his first start and he rarely was stressed.
Setting the tone (defensive three-and-outs)
Iowa 2 (This has been Iowa's average, thereabouts. Hawkeyes did hold IU to a four-play drive, too.)
Indiana 0 (Iowa scored TDs on its first six drives. Kevin Wilson, your challenge is building a representative defense.)
Iowa's first scoring drive -- 12 plays, 69 yards and 7:10 off the clock capped by Marcus Coker 1-yard TD -- was its second longest of the season. It followed up with a two-play drive that Marvin McNutt finished on a crossing pattern. Iowa's O showed a lot of different speeds yesterday. If Iowa is going to have a say in the Legends, the offense will need to do the talking.
After adjustments (second-half yards and avg. yards per play)
Iowa 111-4.23
Indiana 296-7.79
Hoosiers had a terrific second half, but the contest was over. Iowa O did its work with the 35-15 halftime lead. Game.
Game-changers (offensive plays of 20-plus yards)
Iowa 6 (Four of these went McNutt's way, three of which were TDs. Vandenberg had a career-long 24-yarder. Coker had a season-long 41-yard rush.)
Indiana 3 (This is counting one 19-yarder. IU's other two came in the third quarter. Iowa's D keep everything in front of it, for the most part. A little too much sometimes, but that's defense all over college football these days.)
Two-minute magic (points, final two minutes of half)
Iowa 7 (Timeouts will be a topic this week across the Big Ten region. Ferentz and staff used them well for a first-half TD with 16 seconds left. It blew up in Bret Bielema's face at East Lansing on Saturday night, with MSU taking advantage and scoring the game-winner on a Hail Mary. It's a double-edge sword, the timeouts.)
Northwestern 7 (Mop-up TD with 50 seconds left in the game.)
