Will the new 'bums' do any better?

When all the smoke clears, when all the mud has been slung, when all the simplistic and distorted campaign ads have been aired, when all the outright lies have been told, what are we left with? Only time will tell.
Will we have a Congress that is willing to focus on a fairly obvious set of facts? Effective social programs depend on a healthy, growing economy. Effective defense programs depend on a healthy growing economy.
Genuine reductions in the number of unemployed, along with a genuine rebirth of the middle class, depend on a healthy, growing economy.
Is an ever-expanding government creating thousands of public sector jobs the answer? Is an ever-expanding private sector creating genuine wealth and thousands of valid productive jobs another possible answer?
The road to take seems fairly obvious to some, but not to others.
We can “throw all the bums out.” But will a new bunch of bums do any better? Maybe they will. It's worth a try, so let's try it in November.
